Slide decks
The defense deck is a presentation artifact, not a document. It is registered
under presentations and the file itself lives in
public/assets/pdf/, so the site can serve it and there is exactly one copy.
The archive/thesis/defense/supporting-materials/ directory holds only material that
is neither a document nor a registered artifact, such as committee
correspondence.
