Ideas

An idea costs nothing to write down and is gone within a day if it is not. Capture is separate from evaluation on purpose: judging an idea at the moment of having it is how the good and the bad are discarded together.

Filename convention

YYYY-MM-DD-short-slug.mdx. The date is the date the idea occurred, not the date it was evaluated.

Evaluation

Ideas are reviewed in batches, not continuously. An idea that survives review becomes a research question, a project, or an entry in a project’s future work. An idea that does not survive keeps its page, with the reason recorded; the same idea will occur again, and the recorded reason saves the second evaluation.
